i would really like to see firecracker succeed in her quest to become poet laureate of ebay. i think ebay just doesn’t realize the coolness factor that having a poet laureate would add to its corporation. this obviously means that within corporate america, there is a severe lack of knowledge of the coolness and importance of poets and poetry.

this needs to be changed right away! i mean, let’s face it, the corporations are the ones who are really running this country, and i think it’s time that these people realized the importance of poetry in everyday life. and i’m not just talking about poetry that everybody learned when they were in fourth grade, like oh, “the road not taken”, no i’m talking about, like…. poetry. ya dig?

but really, i think that if ebay could just realize that poets like pez dispensers, and poetry is cooler than… other stuff that is not poetry… well, i think we’d have a revolution on our hands. and firecracker is obviously the poet who should lead us toward the lucrative and happy world of corporate sponsorship.
