Yesterday I went all out in celebrating President’s Day by eating a lot of leftover conversation hearts and picking through PHP. Because George loved some PHP and I hear Abe Lincoln was candy freak. But I digress …
Upon further reflection, I decided to do a little research on the presidents’ birthdays and President’s day. After doing a bit of reading this morning, I’m not sure if it’s George Washington’s birthday or not. As Prince would say … “con-tro-ver-sy!” As Prince would also say “You can be the president, I’d rather be the pope.” What’s the pope got to do, got to do with it, you might ask. Check out my resources above and prepare to be amazed. Check it.
Money quote: Still, he added, “You’ve got some poor schmucks like Van Buren and Buchanan who need something.”
So … happy belated birthday Mr. Washington. Card’s in the mail. Or is it?
I’ve heard of people going to great lengths to get more presents, but this is ridiculous!

I haven’t seen the pictures of the creations (apprently they were posted on the Jif website at one point), but I think I’m rooting for the Banana Berry Wafflich. Wafflich. I think that’s a great word.
CareerBuilder.com recently conducted a survey that asked workers to compare their bosses to notorious movie characters.
The following are the top ten
movie characters workers say remind them of their current bosses:10. Gordon Gekko in “Wall Street”
9. Cruella De Vil in “101 Dalmatians”
8. Dr. Evil in “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery”
7. Bernie Lomax in “Weekend at Bernie’s”
6. Katherine Parker in “Working Girl”
5. Franklin Hart in “9 to 5″
4. Coach Norman Dale in “Hoosiers”
3. Bill Lumbergh in “Office Space”
2. Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Star Wars”
1. Andrew Shepard in “American President”“Twenty-six percent of workers say they feel like they are acting at work
instead of being themselves,” said Rosemary Haefner, Vice President of Human
Resources for CareerBuilder.com.
For some reason, all I can say is, “I got myself a couple of good workers.” So … Did your boss make the list?
