7th August
written by Caryn

Well, I’m somewhat rested and just taking the rest of the day to relax and recoup. After all the posting and activity here yesterday and this morning, I realized I needed to upgrade and fix up a few things. So for a bit, you might notice that things look a little different — it’s just temporary.

Thanks for stopping by — be sure to check out the posts from the Blogathon — everything is still available.

Holy Moly … I can’t believe it. The Blogathon is officially over. Thank you to my sponsors:

who, along with me, pledged a total of $87 to ProLiteracy Worldwide in the name of promoting literacy and supporting local literacy programs. Thank you for your support and generosity! I hope those of you who requested poems enjoyed the results. If you sponsored at a poem level and didn’t request your poem yet, please post your request here and I’ll post it as soon as I wake up again.

I’d like to especially thank Levi for giving me pep talks and checking in on me and of course a big 24 hour sized thank you to Jamelah for taking the plunge with me and keeping me company the whole time… We laughed, we cried, we drank a lot of caffeine. It was a little rough in spots, but we had a fun time and were able to pull of some high quality posting — some more serious than others. Also, a shout out to flat out.

For those who sponsored, you will be receiving information from the Blogathon folks on how you can send your pledge so that it goes to the correct place. If you have questions, let me know and I’ll help facilitate. If you didn’t get here in time to sponsor before/during the event, you still have time to contribute. Sponsorship is open until August 9, I believe, so click here for more details.

You’ll be able to read all my Blogathon 2005 posts right here, as well as my usual postings. The webcam is now closed, but catch my final shot. As far as further blogging, my goal is to post every day through August and beyond. I hope to have some interesting stuff to share. We’ll see, won’t we? Oh yes, we will. You never know what quizzes, lists, videos or random bits or insanity will crop up. So bookmark/add me to your blogroll if you’re so inclined. Of course you can always find me here also.

Thanks again for stopping by … I think I’m going to sleep for just a bit. Catch you on the flip side.
