Forget what you know about gender and education and nationality. Whether you are the peanut butter or the jelly has nothing to do with these artificial constructs. The labels of man. The essence of being the peanut butter or the jelly has nothing to do with outside influence or the trappings of a consumer driven world.

Are you the peanut butter or the jelly?

This is a question only you can answer … something only you can derive from knowing what comprises every molecule of your soul. This is the the that makes you you.

Are you the peanut butter or the jelly?

Does this mean you have to identify with the qualities of the basic elements of the peanut butter or the jelly? Does this mean you have to be spreadable, sweet, sticky, desirable? These are all man-made conventions that are too profane to describe you. These associations only serve to confuse you, only serve to obfuscate the real path you’re trying to follow. Don’t be misrepresented by what is too easily offered up as an explanation. Feel what you are… ask yourself, again and again if you must.

Are you the peanut butter or the jelly? What about those around you? Does that affect how you feel about or gravitate towards them? Does it mean one thing or another? Do you think you have the presence to acknowledge what is plainly staring you in the face?

I could ask you are you the Nietzsche or the Vollman? Are you the Captain or are you the Tennille? But those don’t cut to the heart of what is going on inside every human psyche.

Open yourself to feast on the sammich that is the reality of the human experience.
