You will soon be crossing the great waters. — Fortune Cookie
It’s a three day weekend and here I am on a Saturday night with no other plans than trying to find one. A plan that is. This is probably a good thing, because a lot of people keep telling me that I need to take some time and relax a bit. So I’ve spent most of the day in my pajamas and decided to order Chinese food for dinner. I’m not sure it gets much more relaxed than this.
Of course now I’m trying to figure out what the great waters are and why and how I’ll be crossing them. Is this some sort of metaphor or am I going whitewater rafting soon?
I don’t have a lot to say today, so being all cliche, I’ll use a picture to represent the thousand words that I would post. Which would be like, at least 10 blog entries. At least.
I took this picture on Tuesday morning, before I left New York to head back home. It had been raining all night and it had gotten cold enough just to make it feel like winter wasn’t too far away. Everything was glassy, blurry … muted. The sort of day where you could just sit and watch the rain slide down the windows and lose track of time. It would have been a good way to spend a Tuesday. I felt oddly drawn to this view, so I quickly snapped this shot. And then I had to go.
